Six Awesome Hostels in Europe
Last week I returned from my month-long European adventure. We wanted to save as much money as possible on this trip, especially on accommodations, so we chose to stay in hostels. While many people are weary about hostels and have heard horror stories, there definitely are some really great hostels to be found. Check out the rest of this post for some of my hostel recommendations in Italy, France, Switzerland, and Germany.Friday, June 10, 2011
Top things to do for free in Europe
In about two months from now I'm heading to Europe to do some backpacking through Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. Having just finished college recently, this trip must fit in a fairly small budget. I want to experience as much of the culture and history in each city as possible, but not come home completely broke. This seems to be the case for most students and youth that come into my office wanting to travel through Europe. Having researched each of the cities I plan to visit, I have come up with the top things to do for free.

Cruise Line Comparison: For the Budget Traveller
Thinking of cruising the Caribbean, but you're on a budget? At the agency where I work, I have lots of people asking me which cruise line is the most affordable, and what the big difference is between each line. I find that people may even write-off cruising, simply because they are overwhelmed by the many cruise lines to choose from, or because they're under the impression that cruising is not within their budget. However, there are many cruise lines that are affordable and ideal for young travellers. Even though these doubts still exist, more and more people are choosing a cruise over a typical all-inclusive resort vacation, and for a good reason.
