Took too many photos on your vacation?

If you're anything like me, you're constantly taking pictures throughout your travels.  The problem with this is, in a time where we no longer use film and each picture can easily be deleted, we end up with hundreds of photos at the end of the trip.  I came back from a three week trip, and literally had hundreds of photos to sift through on my computer.  I really wanted a simple and quick way to have my pictures printed and displayed nicely in my home.  Here are my suggestions for you.

Kodak Photo Books
This has to be simplest way to upload all of your pictures for print.  There are various binded book styles; softcover, hardcover and frame covers.  You can choose a small 5X7 size photo book, or a very large sized book.  All you have to do is upload the photos, drag them into the order you want, and have them auto-filled into a template, even with themed travel backgrounds.  You can easily add stories or captions to the photos.  It really is a cleaner, easier way to scrapbook all of your adventures! Once you're done creating, you just complete the payment process online and have it shipped right to your house.

Photobook Canada
If you want a little more creative freedom in designing your travel photo book, this website might be for you.  You are required to download the free Photobook sofware, which is like a mini photo-editing application.  You can upload all of your photos into the application.  You are then able to edit and rotate photos, make frames for them, layer various scrapbooking designs and letters, and even download templates which you just drag chosen photos into.  There are a lot more options for backgrounds and frames, but it is a little more time-consuming if you're trying to make a very custom design.  Unfortunately, the templates are only available in the large printing size, which means it would be more expensive to use these.  In general, it is a little more expensive as there are a lot more printing options compared to the Kodak site. You can choose different paper styles and cover textures.  It's a good idea to wait to order until they have a promotion, as they often have sales for weeks at a time for up to 30% off. Again, this company will have the book shipped to your home.

Walmart Photo Books
This is the option for you if you are looking for something cheaper, and simple.  There are limited customization options, and the book quality is not as good as the two above, but it's a quick and inexpensive way to get your travel photos printed. You can upload all of your photos, order online, and pick them up at a local store.

With any of these photo books, it really is a great way to put your adventures on display. They make a great piece for on your coffee table!
