I was in awe at how beautiful this resort is. This property would be 5 Star Plus if it was beachfront. (3 minute shuttle to Jolly Beach), but it still has the most spectacular view as it is cliff side.
It's a secluded boutique luxury hotel ideal for couples, honeymoons, small weddings. It has absolutely gorgeous rooms! The staff seem excellent, very friendly and have a high standard of service. They are very personal because it is a smaller resort.
Accommodations:
This resort has both private and split luxury bungalows on a Cliffside overlooking Jolly Beach and the harbour. It includes shuttles up/down hill provided by calling reception. If you're looking to stay here, make sure you try to get the bungalows on the highest part of the cliff, as they have the most spectacular view. Also, it's worth the extra to get a bungalow with a private plunge pool. This comes in handy since you may need to take a golf kart down to the public pool, or it’s a 5 + minute walk. Most rooms come in split buildings with 4 rooms per bungalow. The fully private bungalows are a step up in price, but worth it if it's a special occasion.
Pools:
This resort has 2 beautiful pools, a large one at the main level below the cliff, and a gorgeous Cliffside Infinity pool at the upper part of the cliff that overlooks the blue water and Jolly Beach. There is no swim up bar, as this is a quieter, mellow, relaxing resort.
Facilities:
Sugar Ridge has great facilities such as a Spa and Gym, but it is a small resort so there are only 2 restaurants. It's good to note that the public can get a membership to the gym, and the public can come for the day to use the spa, etc. so the whole resort is not entirely private. There is free wi-fi in lobby. There are no sports/acitivies on site, so don’t go to this resort if you want an active vacation. You have to go Jolly Harbour to do diving, golf, tennis and other sports.
Overall, this resort is perfect for honeymoons or for a couple on a special occasion. It's for people who like tranquility and relaxing and who want to take in stunning views. If you're not big on the beach, then this is the place for you. You can still do an afternoon trip to the beach since it's only a few minutes away.
